Aircelle at a glance

- Europe’s leading nacelle integrator/supplier
- 3,000 employees
- Growth potential in service and repair

The company’s capabilities begin with system design and development, and continue through manufacture, certification, engine/nacelle integration and after-sales support. Aircelle’s selection as the nacelle supplier for the A380’s Rolls-Royce Trent 900 and Engine Alliance GP7000 powerplants further strengthens the company’s market position by involving it in next-generation, high-end engines with thrust ratings of 70,000 lb. and more.

Aircelle has inherited 25 years of experience and capabilities in nacelle systems and nacelle component technology and manufacturing. Its technical expertise has been recognized through Aircelle’s selection to participate in numerous programs.

In addition to the Airbus A380, Aircelle is involved in many other key programs, both recent (Airbus A340-500/600, A318, General Electric CF34, Dassault F7X, the SaM146 Russian Regional Jet, Bombardier Global Express and Continental Business Jet, as well as the Gulfstream V) and more established (Trent 700 for the A330, CFM engines for the A319/A320/A321, and the Embraer ERJ 135/145 regional jetliner).

Through its aeronautical component activity, Aircelle is further developing its expertise in composite materials — a key to its core nacelle business. As the SAFRAN Group’s center of excellence for composite engine parts, Aircelle manufacturers all types of jet engine components for civil and military powerplants for customers such as Rolls-Royce and Pratt & Whitney.

In the field of aerostructures, Aircelle’s products include large lightweight structures such as the Main and Nose Landing Gear doors for the Airbus A340-500/600 and the Nose Landing Gear for the Airbus A330 and A340-200/300 and upper-deck cowlings and exhaust deflectors for the NH90 helicopter.
