Main Aircelle programs
Aircelle’s selection as the nacelle supplier for the A380’s Rolls-Royce Trent 900 and Engine Alliance GP7000 powerplants further strengthened the company’s market position by involving it in next-generation, high-end engines with thrust ratings of 70,000 lb. and more.
In addition to the Airbus A380, Aircelle is involved in key programs across multiple sectors, including business jets (Embraer Legacy 450/500; Gulfstream V, G280, G500 - G550; Bombardier Challenger 300, Global 500, Global 7000/8000, Global Express XRS; Falcon 7 X and LEARJET 85), regional jets (Embraer ERJ-145 and 170/175; Sukhoi Superjet 100), middle range aircraft (Airbus A318, A320ceo and A320neo; and COMAC C919) and other long-range aircraft (Airbus A330ceo, A330neo and A340; Boeing 747, 787-8 and 777X).
Aircelle develops nacelles that are lighter – thanks to a high proportion of composite material or metals alloys – quieter, smarter and more electric, and the company ensures the optimization and integration of innovative propulsion systems.
Through its aeronautical component activity, Aircelle is further developing its expertise in composite materials – which is a key to its core nacelle business. As Safran’s center of excellence for composite engine parts, Aircelle manufactures all types of jet engine components for civil powerplants for customers such as Rolls-Royce and Pratt & Whitney.
In the field of aerostructures, Aircelle’s products include large lightweight structures such as the Main and Nose Landing Gear doors for the Airbus A340-500/600 and the Nose Landing Gear for the Airbus A330 and A340-200/300 and upper-deck cowlings and exhaust deflectors for the NH90 helicopter.
Aircelle’s 3,500 employees work at eight different manufacturing sites worldwide. The company employs more than 650 qualified engineers and technicians in research, product development, new technologies and manufacturing engineering.
